I have a new orin nano. It booted once a couple of hours ago. Now it shows “warning test key in use” followed by “LT4Launcher attempting recovery boot”, sits still for a couple of minutes, then repeats.
I’ve burned a new image on a new sd card.
What is it doing? How do I get it to boot normally?
If the device fails to boot into rootfs for consecutive 3 times, then it will go into recovery boot.

But please be aware that this is only to recover. It didn’t mean you won’t hit issue again.
To identify what issue you hit, you need to enable logs by this method and share us the log.
Yesterday, it would let me tap esc to get into setup. Today, it ignores the attempt, and immediately shows the message “… attempting recovery”. I’m pretty sure the keyboard is working, as it lights up.

This is with a freshly written image, to a new sd card.
So, I cannot get into setup, and all four of my sd cards verify ok with balena etcher, but fail to boot.

Hi,
As my previous comments said, I need a useful log which records why the system goes corrupted.
What you shared is the log when the system “already” corrupted.
Current situation is like:
1st boot → maybe faild
2nd boot → maybe failed
3rd boot → maybe failed
→ because 3 times failure, goes into recovery boot → this is what you shared.
Thus, please reflash your board again, enable the serial console from the beginning. Boot it few times until and share the log of every boot. I need that 3 times failure but not the last one from recovery boot.
Also, attach the file as a text file. It is not wise to directly copy and paste log file as what you did.
And you can also use block to make your text format easier to read.
