Powering Xavier NX DevKit in a vehicle

Hi,
I need to power my Jetson Xavier NX devkit in a moving vehicle for a vehicle sensor project. I understand the board needs 9-20V and so was wondering whether it can be powered straight from the cigarette lighter or whether I will need to get an inverter. I believe the QC3.0 USB car adaptors can run at 12V and ample current, has anyone got any experience using these?

Hope someone has experience can be shared. In general, 12V is OK for NX, the key point is to keep it stable and so as to let 5V to module be in stable.
