Virtual Channel Support per 4-Lane MIPI CSI on IGX Thor

Hi NVIDIA Team,

I would like to understand the virtual channel capability of the IGX Thor platform.

Could you please clarify how many MIPI CSI-2 virtual channels are supported per 4-lane CSI interface on IGX Thor?

From the datasheet, I could see that the platform supports up to 32 cameras using virtual channels and includes 16 CSI lanes, but I could not find details regarding the maximum number of virtual channels supported per individual CSI port / 4-lane MIPI interface.

It would be helpful if you could share:

  • Maximum VC supported per CSI port

  • Any NVCSI/ISP limitations related to VC routing

  • Recommended VC configuration for GMSL aggregator use cases
