Jetson Xavier AGX powered down mid update

Hi,
I was mid update going from Ubuntu 18.04 to Ubuntu 22.04 and the power cut while installing chromium updates.

Now when I power it on its giving me a bunch of errors and won’t boot to Linux. As I recieved this from a friend I am quite new to this stuff. How would I go about fixing it?

Hello,

Welcome to the NVIDIA Developer forums! Your topic will be better served in the Jetson category.

I will move this over for visibility.

Cheers,
Tom

Which JetPack SW?
We only support up to Ubuntu 20.04 at JetPack 5.x SW, suggst to do the reflash with SDK manager.

I can’t boot the Jetson to anything, is the SDK manager something I can download on my PC?

FOR ANY JETSON ORIN DEVELOPER KIT

Download NVIDIA SDK Manager

With JetPack 5.1.1, SDK Manager offers the option of either a full installation of JetPack, or the installation of only JetPack runtime components. The JetPack runtime installation does not include samples or documentation and takes only half the storage as a full JetPack installation.

Use of SDK Manager to flash Jetson requires an x86 computer running Ubuntu 20.04 or Ubuntu 18.04.

Follow the steps at Install Jetson Software with SDK Manager.

I do not have a computer currently running Ubuntu or any type of Linux. Is there a way to do it through windows or does it have to be Linux? (I do have the capability to run Linux on an old PC I have)

Sorry to say the host PC with Ubuntu OS is mandatory for installing the SDK manager to flash the device.

Alright, that shouldn’t be a problem. Now I have a use for my old optiplex!
