Softer shadow for dome light

Hello, I have a super simple issue I’m sure has a simple solution. I have a scene in Omniverse with a Dome light and a cube of a plane. The cube has a shadom from the dome light projected on the plane.

I simply want to make the shadow softer. I see that distant light has an Angle attribute for that but I couldnt find the equivalent with Dome lights.

Thank you!

In Dome light, which is an HDR map, the “softness” is derived from the actual texture, so a clear sky will yield hard shadows.
You can try the overcast sky which will yield soft, almost non visible shadows.

hi @lbenhorin ,
what is the meaning of “clear sky”?
I am using sunstudy which has volumetric clouds and sunset/sunrise.
sunstudy is necessery as it is how we randomize the time of day in our simulation.

The sky that has emulated volumetric clouds does have the parameter to control sun disc size - see attached image.
